I feel so lucky to have so many great friends, and for my birthday this year some of my friends trekked over from LA to go to the Outside Lands music festival here in SF. These festivals are no longer just about the music – they also have become quite the fashion show. I personally struggle to reconcile this with the fact that they can be quite grimy. Who wants to spend all that time and energy getting ready to stand around in dirt all day and then go pee in a stinky porta-potty? Well, turns out many people.

For day 1, I wasn’t sure what to expect and took the comfort route (right above) with a Forever 21 lace bow t-shirt, my favorite pair of Dior sunglasses (old), and comfy jeans and shoes. SF weather is unpredictable, so I packed layers and a Topshop bow sweater headband (old) that I wore later in the evening as we watched Paul McCartney perform.

On day 2 (below), I played a little more with my accessories.Outside Lands HatI pulled my naturally curly hair back into a French braid (so festival appropriate) and put on a hat that I bought last week in Vegas. I clipped in a few Forever 21 rose hair clips in the braid for more of the festival spirit (every girl there was wearing a floral headband).

As we were dancing to Baauer (Harlem Shake) later in the day, I decided to switch from my Lanvin sunglasses to my friend Noa’s much more fun yellow robotic looking sunglasses.

robotBy the last day, I was ready to conform to a hippie look with this Eugenia Kim head wrap (old) and my Nordstrom heart shaped sunglasses. It was also my favorite day of the festival, with Vampire Weekend as the highlight. Such a great weekend with amazing friends.Outside Lands Day 3
